Modern Technology

Today I transported a full-length movie on a computer chip the size of my fingernail. And, believe it or not, there was room for five or six more.
I picked up a 4GB Micro-SD memory card for my camera this week. It came with a USB adapter that is not much bigger than the chip itself. It is amazing how small our technology is becoming. In my living room I have a hard drive platter that is bigger than a dinner plate, and it only held about 30MB back in 1980 when it was still in use.
What an advance in less than thirty years: a giant platter in 1980 held less than 1% of what a fingernail-sized chip holds today. What will tomorrow bring?
